Fayetteville 2021 UCI Cyclocross World Cup Elite Women

The second round of the 2021 Cyclocross World Cup took place on October 13, 2021, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. After a decidedly dry early season riders finally got their first taste of cyclocross weather in the Elite Men’s race in Waterloo. Fayetteville served up a dripping pile of mud for everyone, however.

Lucinda Brand

Lucinda Brand took home her second gold medal in Fayetteville. The World Champion has been on fire this year, claiming the rainbow jersey in January and taking second to Marianne Vos in Waterloo.

A mistake in the final lap but still an incredible race by the muti-time world Cx champion @marianne vos – CXFayettevilleAR

That was tough battle under very difficult conditions. Congratulations Marianne on your 4th place. It once again proved to be a very exciting race with Marianne having bad luck, a flat allowing Brand to come back and then a fall. Under those circumstances 4th was a great result – Phillip Martindale
