With the mud mostly gone at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno, exposed rocks and dusty surfaces have become the new traction challenge for riders.
When Lori LeClair Cooke crashed on the loose surface on the technical hill, it allowed Karen Brems (SunPower Racing) to catch up with her and then take the win. LeClair Cooke recovered to finish second and Laura Howat (Ski City Cycling Team) took third.
