Kaitie Keough’s win at the Jingle Cross World Cup was a memorable one. Keough grew up in nearby Wisconsin, so she has been racing at the event since she was 15.

Two years ago, Keough had a memorable Midwest trip when she finished third at the first Jingle Cross World Cup. She topped it last year with a second in Iowa City and a second in her home state in Waterloo.

Safe to say, Saturday’s race was the best trip home yet.

Keough took control of the race in the second lap and did not look back—she said she was very much looking forward thanks to the treacherous conditions on Mt. Krumpit—en route to winning her first career World Cup.

We briefly chatted with Keough after the race before her team could hunt down her jacket and ALL THE CLOTHES to help warm her up on the cool, wet Iowa afternoon.
