Sven Nys (Crelan-KDL) took his second win of the weekend, at Superprestige Asper-Gavere, overtaking Philipp Walsleben (BKCP-Powerplus) in the final moments of the race. The win adds to Nys’ overall series lead, showing that the World Champion had found his form.
Just a day earlier Nys claimed the top spot on the podium at GP Hasselt in a dramatic three-man sprint finish against Niels Albert (BKCP Powerplus) and Klaas Vantornout (Sunweb-Napoleon Games).
