Two days ago many of you enjoyed watching some of the nation’s best youth work on their dismounts and remounts thanks to Chris McGovern’s video. Today we’ve got a fascinating follow up video from the camp.
We first heard about MontanaCrossCamp from Geoff Proctor in our interview with the cyclocross coach after his European camp with Sven Nys. It’s now underway, and Proctor along with Chris McGovern, Tobin Ortenblad and Scott Herzig are gathered with a bunch of talented Junior cyclists to get a start on their cyclocross season prep.
McGovern shared another video of the attendees working on running the now-legal-again hairpin turns at the training camp in Montana:
The first thing that popped into mind after viewing this is how a few attendees have adopted Mathieu van der Poel’s bike-dragging run technique he used to win the 2015 Cyclocross World Championship in Tabor.
The camp clearly encourages attendees to experiment and find the technique that works best for them, as Chris McGovern says the camp teaches “all ways”:
