In ‘Merica, today’s Thanksgiving holiday is a day first and foremost to give thanks. For mainstream sports fans, it’s also become a day to watch football.

Cyclocrossers can be thankful that this year there are plenty of great cyclocross videos to watch and rewatch, with a great duel between Sven Nys and Wout van Aert from Koksijde, a #tbt video from 2014 Worlds with Nys and Zdenek Stybar, highlights from the Supercross Cup, and last but not least, this stunning highlight video by Ben Jenkins from CXLA Day 2 (Also called CXLB).

The stabilized HD video is worth five minutes of your time, or in our case, fifteen minutes after hitting replay a few times. It captures early, mid and late-race action, and really showcases the impressive gap the 39-year-old Jonathan Page (Fuji/Spy/Competitive Cyclist) had early in the race before flatting and losing his early lead.

Jamey Driscoll (Raleigh Clement) would lead home Troy Wells (Clif Bar), Anthony Clark (Squid) and Cody Kaiser (Lange Twins Winery) for the win, with Page finishing fifth. Driscoll also won Day 1 of CXLA.

While his results may not reflect it, Page, in typical fashion, seems to be gaining speed and strength as the season goes on.

As Nys, the same age as Page, wraps up his career this season, we can’t help but wonder how many more seasons we’ll see from the now-USA-based Page. Stay tuned.
