The ’cross season is almost at a close, now that Heerlen and Middlekerke are over. There’s still one more next weekend in Oostmale (won by Albert and Cant last year), but after that, the UCI calendar wraps up for the year.

In the women’s race, despite the fact that in the US, pros are enjoying the off-season and skiing, playing on their bikes, or just keeping their feet up, in Europe, the top racers are still on the start line. Helen Wyman took the win, followed by Nikki Harris and Sanne Cant.
In the men’s race, 19-year-old Mathieu Van der Poel took the win over the Elite Men’s field, followed by Thijs Van Amerongen and Rob Peeters.
