USA Cycling Pro CX Rankings – Week #4: Noble Takes the Lead, Hyde Stays on Top and Stephenson Leads the Juniors

Week four’s 2016/2017 Pro CX rankings is out, with a new leader on the women’s side, and a number of top men still trailing behind Hyde. New for this week are rankings for the Junior Mens class.

Ellen Noble moves to the top of the rankings ahead of Caroline Mani and dropping back to third is last week’s leader Kaitlin Antonneau. With her double victory at the KMC Cross Fest, Katie Compton leapfrogs the competition and moves up five spots to fourth place.

Stephen Hyde retains top honors with a strong showing at the KMC Cross Fest. Tobin Ortenblad drops back all the way to fifth as James Driscoll, Kerry Werner and Curtis White (winner of the Mens C2 Race at the KMC Cross Fest) all move up.

New this week are the rankings for the Junior Men, with Denzel Stephenson atop the leader board with his strong showing at the KMC Cross Fest. Gunnar Holmgren and Lane Maher are currently second and third.

Next up on the ProCX calendar are two days of racing at the Charm City Cross in Baltimore, MD.

This year’s USA Cycling Pro CX calendar features 44 scoring cyclocross races, with UCI C1 and C2 points going 20 deep, and non-UCI events going 10 deep. UCI C1 events naturally score the most points. A non-UCI win is less valuable than seventh in a UCI C1, while a UCI C2 win is less valuable than ninth in a UCI C1, but the number of scoring events are capped per rider.
