Last season, the Ruts ‘N Guts weekend in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma belonged to Tobin Ortenblad (Santa Cruz / Donkey Label Racing). This year, getting a win in Saturday’s C1 would not come easy. Ortenblad went into the last lap with Kerry Werner (Kona Factory Racing), Lance Haidet (Donnelly Sports) and Gage Hecht (Alpha Bicycle – Groove Subaru).

Ortenblad was tops of the four in the bell lap and took the win just ahead of Werner. Hecht rounded out the podium in one of his last warm-ups before heading to Europe for the December block of EuroCrossCamp.
