This weekend, the 10th annual Singlespeed Cyclocross World Championships (SSCXWC) brings back the singlespeed madness to its original home in Portland, Oregon.

While Dani Dance, the SSCXWC founder, is excited that the sold-out event is returning to its geographic and racing roots, and John Walrod promises "legit winners" otherwise he'll do the tattoos himself, we certainly expect the weekend to deliver plenty of spirited parties, costumes and memories that are also consistent with the 2007 event.

Cyclocross Magazine was on hand for the inaugural SSCXWC race, and for today's Throwback Thursday, bring readers back to the weekend in Estacada, Oregon that arguably changed one-gear cyclocross racing forever.

Enjoy our look back at the event in the photo highlights and full photo gallery below.
