Halloween costume races are one of the great traditions of cyclocross in the U.S. They allow riders to let their creative minds run wild before race day, and on race day, riders get the chance to race bikes with all kinds of accessories attached to their person.

Maybe it is a good thing criterium season does not overlap with Halloween?

One of Northern California's Halloween cyclocross races was the Surf City Cyclocross at the Santa Cruz County fairgrounds. As the picture shows, it was a swine location for a bike race.
