Cyclocross heads to the nation’s capital this weekend for the annual DCCX held at the Armed Forces Retirement Home.
The weekend’s two UCI C2 races also double as the rubber matches of the 2019 Union Brewing / Rapha Parkway CX Trophy. Charm City Cross kicked off the time-based series last weekend.
Rebecca Fahringer (Kona Maxxis Shimano) leads the Elite Women’s series by 1:24 over Carla Williams (Deschutes Brewery), who in turn leads Caroline Nolan (Voler / Easton / HRS / Rock Lobster) by 41 seconds.
Curtis White (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) leads the Elite Men’s over Kerry Werner (Kona Maxxis Shimano) by virtue of winning Sunday’s race (what have you done for me recently?), even though the two are tied. With White already having FOMO over his decision not to race this weekend, Werner carries a 1:54 lead over Stephen Hyde (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) into the weekend.
