Twenty three Belgians men and women racers will hope to dominate home sand and will headline the 2014 Koksijde UCI Cyclocross World Cup today.
Thirteen Dutch, nine Czech, and eight Americans, six Germans, six French and five British cyclocrossers all have aspirations of finding the fastest lines in the sand dunes of Koksijde.

Jeremy Powers, Jonathan Page, and Jeremy Durrin will represent the US in Koksijde, with Aaron Schooler, Cameron Jette, and Mark McConnell made the flight from Canada, with Ian Field attending from the UK.
On the women’s side, Katie Compton lines up as the favorite, with Elle Anderson, Rachel Lloyd, Meredith Miller and Crystal Anthony all aiming for top ten places. Helen Wyman, Gabby Durrin, Nikki Harris, and rising star Hannah Payton will be the contesting Brits.
Perhaps the biggest news is the racers not attending Koksijde. Marianne Vos will not contest the event, and fellow Dutch star Lars van der Haar is also skipping the event due to illness.
