HEUSDEN-ZOLDER, Belgium—Multiple sources tell Cyclocross Magazine that Telenet-Fidea will be aboard Trek Bikes for road and cross for 2016 and beyond.

As we previously reported, retiring cyclocross legend Sven Nys, himself a Trek-sponsored athlete, will be taking over Telenet-Fidea. Now it seems he’s taking Trek with him to his new team. The Telenet-Fidea squad has been on Ridley bikes.

In connection with the move we’ve been told that the team’s full roster, all 22 riders, will be aboard Trek beginning with the road season.

One thing that remains uncertain is Katie Compton’s status with Trek. Her contract with the American bicycle manufacturer runs through July. While we have been told that her contract has not been renewed as of yet, there are many months remaining for negotiations and renewal to take place.

The expansion of Trek’s involvement with Telenet-Fidea does beg the question of whether Trek will continue to also support the Trek Factory Racing pros, including Compton.

Stay tuned for additional details as we have them.
