January cyclocross continues in Norcal, and whether you’ve got a National Championship jersey to show off, or just want a chance to race during “real” cyclocross conditions, Rockville Bike’s January series offers up some grassroots January racing.
The finale, on Sunday January 31, offers up some extra fun in the form of a relay race and BBQ.
Series press release below.
Do you remember why you started racing cyclocross? Was it the allure of having fun on two wheels in the dirt and mud with some friends, or because you wanted a pro-level event with an expo, team tents, branded course banners and merchandise?
If you fall into the former group, and live in the Norcal area, the fourth annual Rockville Bike Cyclo-Cross series is ready to bring you back to your roots. The January racing series happens each Sunday at the Solano Community College in Fairfield, CA.
Located just 45 miles from San Francisco, 80 miles from San Jose, and 40 miles from Sacramento, the series offers true mud season racing on a fun, twisty technical course.
Cyclocross Magazine profiled the race series a few years ago here, and while entry fees have increased to $20, they remain half of typical Bay Area races.
Join the fun, test yourself on the fun course, and have a good chance to race in the mud.
