Katie Compton’s streak of 15-straight U.S. cyclocross national championships always got its deserved attention, but over in Belgium, Sanne Cant (IKO – Crelan) has a nice little streak of her own going.
At Belgian Nationals today—aka Floaty Cross, aka Floaty McFloat Face—Cant won her 11th-straight Belgian Elite Women’s title.
Laura Verdonschot (Pauwels Sauzen – Bingoal) finished second and Ellen Van Loy (Telenet Baloise Lions) third. Joyce Vanderbeken (Bike-Advice – ITAF), the last not-Sanne-Cant Belgian champ, finished 12th.
