The 2019 UCI Masters Cyclocross World Championships took place last weekend in Mol, Belgium on the days leading up to the Elite Zilvermeercross.
As in past years, a number of North Americans made the pilgrimage to the Motherland of Cyclocross for the race at the sandy venue. This year, a number of North Americans brought home podium finishes.
Lilian Pfluke, who lives in France, finished 2nd in the Women’s 60-64 race; Patricia Konantz of Canada took the win and Tracy Lea of Maryland took third in the Women’s 65-69 race; and the timeless Julie Lockhart won the Women’s 75+ race. On the Men’s side, Matt Shriver finished second in the Men’s 40-44 race.
