Saturday’s Ethias Cross race was in Kruibeke, site of the 2019 Belgian National Championships, but it was the Dutch women who again carried the day at Polderscross.
One could say 7s were wild, with Annemarie Worst (777) getting her first win of the season and Yara Kastelijn (777) finishing second. Last week’s star Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado (Corendon – Circus) rounded out the all-Dutch podium in third.
The Little Badger Kaitie Keough (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) kicked off her full Euro campaign with a seventh-place finish.
Another result of note is a 14th-place finish for former world champion Thalita de Jong (Chevalmeire Cycling) in her first race since Valkenburg Worlds. Current World Champ Sanne Cant (IKO – Crelan) took a DNF.
