When he hit the start line at Dutch Cyclocross Nationals in Huijbergen, Mathieu van der Poel (Corendon – Circus) was only 23 years old and yet he had already won Elite Dutch Nationals four times.
After Sunday’s race, make it five.
Van der Poel took top honors in Huijbergen, with Corne van Kessel (Telenet Fidea Lions) finishing second and Lars van der Haar (Telenet Fidea Lions) third.
