Quinten Hermans of the Telenet Fidea Lions got off to a fast start Friday night at Jingle Cross and then used some help from teammate Lars van der Haar to take home a solid second-place finish. Hermans is in his first year as an elite rider, so the 60-minute race in the September Iowa heat and dust was a tough test for him that he passed with flying (yellow) colors.
