There was no rest for riders vying for standings points in the USA Cycling Professional Cyclo-cross Calendar (Pro CX). With a pair of races on each coast of the United States, riders quickly rebounded from Thanksgiving dinners to toe the line at Baystate Cyclo-cross NECXS in Sterling, Mass., and CXLA Weekend: Day 1 and 2-Cross After Dark in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Jeremy Powers (Easthampton, Mass./Rapha-Focus) won Saturday’s race in Massachusetts before finishing second in Sunday’s contest to hold the top spot of the Pro CX men’s standings with 876 points. Timothy Johnson (Topsfield, Mass./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) placed third on Sunday after he was fourth in Saturday’s contest in Los Angeles to add 49 points and boost his season-long total to 831 points, only seven points ahead of Ben Berden (BEL/Raleigh-Clement), who is in third place after winning Sunday’s race in California. Berden, who was fifth in Saturday’s race, now has 824 points. Ryan Trebon (Bend, Ore./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) finished first and 11th in the two races in Los Angeles to collect 45 points and remain in fourth place with 651 points. James Driscoll (Sandy, Utah/Raleigh-Clement) also competed in Los Angeles and placed second and seventh in the two races to remain in fifth place with 452 points.

Elle Anderson (San Francisco, Calif./California Giant Berry Farms-Specialized) maintains her spot atop the Pro CX women’s standings with 731 points. Anderson won Saturday’s race in Massachusetts before placing third in Sunday’s competition to help her maintain her lead. Katerina Nash (CZE/Luna Pro Team) won both of the women’s races in Los Angeles and moved into second place with 650 points, 33 points ahead of Meredith Miller (Boulder, Colo./California Giant Berry Farms-Specialized). Crystal Anthony (Beverly, Mass./Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies) won Sunday’s race in Massachusetts after placing third in Saturday’s contest to collect 61 points and maintain her hold on fourth place with 563 points. Katie Compton (Colorado Springs, Colo./Trek Cyclocross Collective) and Nicole Duke (Boulder, Colo./Marin Bikes-Spy) are deadlocked in fifth place. Duke posted a pair of podium performances to add 56 points to her total and match Compton’s 453 points.

Despite winning both of the juniors races in Los Angeles, Maxx Chance (Boulder, Colo./Clif Bar Development Cyclocross Team), is just outside the top five of the Pro CX juniors men’s standings in sixth place. Austin Vincent (Simsbury, Conn./Race Cf-Racecf.org @Racecf) remains the leader with 345 points, 91 points ahead of Peter Goguen (Hopedale, Mass./Race Cf-Racecf.org @Racecf), who is in second place with 254 points. Cooper Willsey (Hinesburg, Vt./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) moved into third place with 250 points. David Lombardo (Crystal Lake, Ill./WCJ Racing) holds fourth place with 236 points while Ian McShane (Louisville, Ky./Sophisticated Living-Bob’s Red Mill) rounds out the top five with 226 points.
