Seattle, WA — Low Pressure Promotions, LLC announced the details of the 2011 MFG Cyclocross schedule at its world headquarters in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, WA today. MFG Cyclocross is presented by Raleigh Bicycles for 2011 and will consist of six races beginning in September and will conclude on November 13th at the 3rd Annual Woodland Park Gran Prix.

“MFG Cyclocross has seen tremendous success and growth over the last two full seasons. We are very excited to be back for our third season and will showcase a balance of familiar and new venues. We anticipate the turn-out for MFG Cyclocross Season Three will surpass the phenomenal day we had a the Woodland Park GP last year,” said co-founder Terry Buchanan.

New for 2011 is the addition of a true Beginners Category for both men and women. The Beginners Category is intended true newbie’s to bicycle racing and cyclocross.

“We want to continue to make the discipline of cyclocross the most accessible of all bicycle racing disciplines. We feel a category for true beginners with no previous experience in road or mountain bike racing is a great way to encourage new riders to get involved,” said co-founder Zac Daab.

The continued support of bicycle demo program by Raleigh Bicycles will compliment the Beginner Category as racers can potentially show up without a cyclocross bike, sign up to demo a Raleigh cross bike, and have a positive first experience racing cyclocross. MFG Cyclocross will also offer something new for the top end of the sport by adding a $400 total cash prize list each week for the Elite Men and Women.

MFG Cyclocross is proud to continue its successful partnership with venue owners King County Parks, Washington State Parks, and Seattle Parks. New venue partner, Mountain Meadows Farm joins the series on October 2nd as the host of the SCCA/Starbucks GP in North Bend, WA.

“Without the trust and support from the management of the local parks, we could not offer our riders the three month nomadic cyclocross community they wait to be a part of for nine months of the year,“ said Zac Daab.

To feed and caffeinate these nomads, MFG Cyclocross continues to partner with the Here and There Grill, Giro Espresso serving Blue Star, and the newly added Lady Yum to the vendor expo. Lady Yum will add a northern European feel with Stroopwafels, described as cinnamon caramel sandwiched between two thin, crisp waffle cookies.

MFG Cyclocross is proud to have Raleigh Bicycles as the Presenting Sponsor of the series for the third year in a row. Additionally, MFG welcomes back Beyond Clothing, Blue Star Coffee Roasters, Brouwer’s Café, Cascade Bicycle Studio, Coal Headwear, Contour, The Cycling House, CycleOps, Cycle U, Deschutes Brewery, Full Speed Ahead, Lazer Helmets, Mavic, Nuun, Rapha, and Stanley for 2011.
