Wednesday marked the annual New Year’s Day race at the Sven Nys Cycling Center in Baal.
Each year, the GP Sven Nys provides a chance for fans to get a look at new kits and equipment for riders switching teams and sponsors. Among this year’s changes were the unveiling of the new navy blue kit of Alpecin – Fenix, which was formerly Corendon – Circus.

Also shaking up the Elite Men’s field a bit was the movement of Corne van Kessel and Quinten Hermans to the new Tormans CX Team that is the cyclocross team for the new Wanty – Gobert road program. The two former Telenet Baloise Lions also had their new colors on display.

One of the more memorable features on the course is the long set of moguls that allow riders the chance to get some air and put on a bit of a show for the fans gathered there.
