The 2018/19 Telenet UCI World Cup was in Bern, Switzerland on Sunday to showcase the country's EKZ Tour. A sunny day and a grassy course brought dry, fast racing for the third stop of the nine-race series.

In the Elite Women's race, Annemarie Worst (Steylaerts - 777) bridged up to Marianne Vos (WaowDeals Pro Cycling) and the two teamed up to keep Katie Compton (KFC Racing p/b Trek Knight) before Vos escaped for a last-lap win.

Mathieu van der Poel (Corendon - Circus) made the most of his first World Cup race of the season by attacking in the third lap when Wout van Aert (Cibel - Cebon Offroad Team) had trouble shifting after a corner. He soloed the rest of the race after quickly dropping Daan Soete (Pauwels Sauzen - Vastgoedservice).
