The Philly Bike Expo adds a ton of kids options for 2014, and looks to provide fun for bike enthusiasts of all ages. Full press release below.
PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Saturday and Sunday, November 8th and 9th 2014, the Philly Bike Expo returns for its fifth year. The East Coast bicycling event will once again be held at The PA Convention Center, Philadelphia’s premier event venue.
“The 2014 Expo will be bigger and better than ever,” says show organizer Bina Bilenky Trahan. “We want families to know that there are plenty of things to see and do for all ages.”
The Philly Bike Expo is designed to interest, inspire, and inform bicycle aficionados, weekend enthusiasts and those merely curious about the fun and fitness awaiting on two wheels. Artisans and manufacturers of bicycles, accessories and apparel will display their latest products. The show features seminars, demos and how-to’s. Food and drink, rides, races and after-parties round out this two-day celebration of bicycle culture.
An indoor test ride area with balance bikes from Strider and Yuba and a hands-on bicycle themed crafts project presented by the Please Touch Museum are among the offerings of interest to the youngest kids. A “Family Biking 101” panel will convene on Saturday following a Kidical Mass ride. The ride will be under 2 miles to accommodate children that are not ready to ride the regular 3.5 mile Kidical Mass routes. Children 12 & under get into the Expo free.
