We never get tired of looking at great cyclocross photos, especially of a unique event like Daisuke Yano’s UCI Cyclocross weekend in Nobeyama.
Yesterday, we brought you Day 1 photographs from Jeff Curtes of the Rapha Super Cross in Nobeyama, and today we have photos from Day 2.
This year, only three “gaijin” (foreigners) contested the UCI races. American Cameron Beard and Kevin Bradford-Parish flew to Japan to take it all in and race for UCI points, with Bradford-Parish landing on the podium after an eighth place on Day 1, and Beard finishing in sixth after a fourth place on Day 1.
Australian Garry Millburn was the third foreigner and had a great second day, overcoming a flat tire, a swap to his wife’s bike, and then a return to the front on the final lap once he was back on his own bike.
We were fortunate to attend the event in 2011, and it has only grown in popularity since. Have a look at Curtes’ Day 2 images, which might top yesterday’s gems.
