Lizzy Gunsalus took a impressive, over-a-minute-lead-win in the Juniors 11-12 category at the 2015 Cyclocross Nationals. She proved herself on the muddy off-cambers and sloppy run-ups, where she handled her bike well. After the race was over, we learned that she had just won Nationals in her age group on a borrowed Specialized Crux Comp, and we took a closer look at some of its details.

SRAM Apex brake levers were the only model of the SRAM groups to not use carbon (with the exception of singlespeed levers). This would only change with the introduction of Rival 22, which is currently the only 11-speed SRAM brake lever to use aluminum. © Cyclocross Magazine
