If there’s one women’s race you watch this year (not that there’s any good reason to miss such good racing), the 2014 Diegem Superprestige women’s race is a contender for that honor.
At the event, spectators were treated to an epic battle between Marianne Vos (Rabo Liv), Pauline Ferrand Prévot (Rabo Liv) and Kateřina Nash (Luna Pro). Mother Nature contributed to the drama with a slicky, snowy track, and the racers unleashed fireworks, especially with Ferrand Prévot repeatedly bunnyhopping the barriers. There were also crashes, including a particularly painful-looking one by Nash.
