LIGNIERES-EN-BERRY, France—With top UCI ranked riders Jens Deker and American Gage Hecht not on the line in the Junior Men’s World Cup Lignieres and Jappe Jaspers having an of day, it was The Netherlands’ Mitch Groot who took the win today in the penultimate World Cup in France.
Groot took a 10 second win over the dueling Jakob Dorigoni of Italy and France’s own Mickael Crispin who both finished in 41:52. Crispin’s countryman Tanguy Turgis was a mere seven seconds back in Fourth.
As a World Cup in France it was no surprise that the crowd roared loudest for their native sons. France put five riders into the top 10 this morning.
Crowds are going nuts for this French Junior in second place!

The final World Cup of the season will be next week in Hoogerheide.
