However, the tubular versions, in both rim and disc brake versions, may be a new contender for the high-end, carbon tubular race wheelset for cyclocross. Mavic has checked the boxes with both brake and axle compatibility, and certainly has built a lightweight wheelset that should rival offerings from companies like Zipp, Reynolds, Bontrager and Vision. We’re anxious to test a disc tubular set when they’re released this September. Stay tuned.
