Tire Review: Kenda Kommando Folding 35 Cyclocross Tire Review
Racing and Riding Impressions: The Kenda Kommando was the biggest surprise of this group. With such an understated tread and small, short knobs, this tire is fast and begs to be raced on a dry grass or hardpack dirt course. On pavement, its center knobs rolled smoothly, but when things got loose, the full set of small knobs provided surprising traction — much more than the tread’s profile would suggest. The side knobs did not have quite the bite of other tires, but only in corners with loose gravel did I wish for more. The Kommando deserves strong consideration for a race tire, especially on fast East Coast courses. Also available in a narrower 32c.
