Katie Compton is, as usual this time of year, tearing through fields across the US in preparation for her first World Cup this season in Aigle, Switzerland. Compton is hoping to have finally gotten the better of the leg cramps that have caused her issues in key races over the last couple of seasons, and with the results thus far – she recently took her 43rd, 44th and 45th UCI wins at the UCI3 weekend in Ohio – there is definite reason for hope. And coming up quickly on Compton, and the rest of the Elite Women’s field, is her protege Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com rider Kaitlin Antonneau. Cyclocross Magazine has been following Antonneau, having interviewed her for Issue 10 of the print mag, and is looking for her to spend more time on the podium this season. To celebrate Compton’s 45th UCI win, and Antonneau’s first UCI podium, Mark Legg-Compton, Katie’s husband, provided us with some photos from this past weekend.
