Karen Hogan went out early and took the win in the Women’s 45-49 race on Thursday. We caught up with her (and second place, Margell Abel) to find out how the racing action played out.
On the course… I loved it. So technical, but that suits me a little bit.
On getting out in front… I though that that would be my preference just because then you don’t have to worry about people not technically making a curve, or a turn, or a run up or whatever. So I was hoping to be by myself.”
On tactics… In the off camber right after the drops, and I separated a little bit and then just tried to go for it.
