Sanne Cant had a rough go of it in her first trip to Iowa City last year during the World Cup, so a bit of redemption may be in order in 2017. The defending world champion leads a star-studded group of international riders to Iowa City for the second Jingle Cross World Cup.
For Cant to be the best in Iowa, she will have to not only conquer the slopes of Mt. Krumpit, but she will have to defeat defending champion Katie Compton, 2016 Day 3 winner Katerina Nash and a start list that includes 7 of the top 10 riders in the UCI rankings.

The rest of the American contingent will be headed up by Kaitie Keough and Ellen Noble, both of whom won last weekend in Rochester. A total of 17 Americans will be making the start at Jingle Cross. The second biggest contingent will be the seven-rider Canadian group led by Maghalie Rochette. Nikki Brammeier and Helen Wyman, who won Day 1 last year, will be racing for Great Britain, Kim Hurst will be making the trip from New Zealand and Chicago resident Maria Larkin will be racing for Ireland.
