After building a great deal of anticipation all summer, Jeremy Powers finally released a few of the details about his team this morning, more specifically, the team name, kit design, and corporate sponsors.
The new professional cyclocross team will be called “Aspire Racing,” and while the kit designs have been released on social media, the national championship skinsuit won’t be shown until CLIF Bar CrossVegas. While this means that Jeremy Powers will either be skipping the first weekend of UCI cyclocross (or wearing the above kit), he has yet to disclose his teammates who will actually be wearing the released skinsuits on September 10th. One thing is clear: Powers himself won’t be donning the grays and purples of the Aspire Racing design; he’s earned the red, white, and blue after winning the 2014 National Championship of Cyclocross.
If you’ve been following the big names of cyclocross that have yet to join a team, you might have some pretty good guesses on who will be joining Powers this year.
He has also released details about his sponsors, although the majority of the companies won’t be a change from years past. Focus Bicycles and Rapha cycling remain the lead out title partners, with Giro, SRAM, and CrankBrothers joining the fray. The full list also includes Zipp, Oakley, Park Tools, FMB Tires, Fizik, WD-40, ICEdot crash sensors, Eco-Products, and MotoFish Coffee.
