The 2017 West Sacramento Grand Prix brought UCI cyclocross racing to Northern California for the first time in years. California's ’crossers responded in kind by heading to River Walk Park in downtown West Sacramento in large numbers.

On Saturday, amateur racers warmed up the course for the  UCI Elite racers later in the afternoon. In the Women's race, Katerina Nash (Clif Pro Team) attacked late to win a battle against Courtenay McFadden (American Classic/Zones), and in the Men's tilt, Anthony Clark (Squid Bikes) outsprinted Lance Haidet (Donnelly) to grab the win.

California native Jeff Vander Stucken was in West Sacramento to document the action on his camera. Enjoy this photo gallery of the amateur and professional racing from Jeff.
