Pleasanton, CA – Jakroo USA hires former professional road racer Ben Jacques-Maynes. The company has continued to experience growth with another record-breaking year.
Jacques-Maynes recently retired from a racing career where he made his mark as one of the top ranked domestic professionals. Most recently, he served as the captain of Team Jamis. With over 50 career victories, Jacques-Maynes holds multiple national championships, has won NRC stage races, and has KOM titles in the USA Pro Challenge and Tour of Utah. A friendly Berkeley California native, Ben has been an uncompromising figure in leading a clean and upstanding life on and off the bike.
The former road pro joins the Jakroo sales department with a focus on servicing and growing the cycling team business. “Initially we want Ben to take on the teams market, but we have big plans for him in a product development role. His years of experience riding and racing make him a great asset in keeping us ahead of the curve in our custom product offerings,” says Sales Director Michael Hernandez.
“I’m excited about this new opportunity,” says Ben. “Jakroo really has a unique model and I want to utilize my experience to help create new and exciting products for them. There is so much potential here and I want to work hard to invigorate the group here to reach even greater heights,” notes Ben, who is no stranger to hard work and achievements.
Jakroo has been a force in revolutionizing the custom endurance apparel market. The web based design and ordering system pioneered by the company combines with an unprecedented two-week delivery to create a formidable competitive advantage. “With 20 years of sportswear manufacturing experience and the addition of dedicated staff, Jakroo seeks to offer custom clothing that continually rivals the quality and craftsmanship of retail products,” states Jakroo COO Derek Wiseman. “The addition of Ben is an investment towards this goal,” says Wiseman.
