CINCINATTI, OHIO – Registration is now open for the Cincy3 CX Festival, November 2-4 on Bike Reg.com.  Past years have brought the likes of Powers, Gould, Trebon, Compton, Wells, Mani and others to the Queen City for the 3-day UCI weekend.  With Day 2 being a stop on the CX After Dark series, this year’s crop of pros should be no exception.  Today is also opening day of registration for Huber’s Apple CX, officially kicking off the OVCX series and cyclocross season in the Ohio Valley.  It won’t stop until the World Championships in Louisville.

The Cincy3 CX Festival presented by Cincinnati Cyclocross and United Dairy Farmers features 3 days and 3 different venues in the Cincinnati Metro area.  Day 1 is a Friday afternoon and evening UCI-C2 affair at Devou Park, featuring some wicked steeps and off-camber on the course and a spectacular hilltop view of the downtown skyline.  Saturday, it’s the C2 CX After Dark Lionhearts International at Kings CX, a former golf course in the northern suburb of Mason featuring music, food, drinks and of course pro racing under the lights.  Harbin Park closes out the Festival on Sunday on the Northwest part of town with a fight for the big UCI-C1 points on a power demanding course that’ll certainly deliver all day drama.

Registration for the first race in the OVCX series also opens today.  Huber’s Apple CX presented by the Bob’s Red Mill Cyclocross Team and Huber’s Family Farm on 9/16 continues the trend of pairing a festival atmosphere with cyclocross racing.  Located near Louisville, the venue is home to the famous Huber’s Orchards, Winery and Vineyards.  With the fall harvest in full swing, it’ll be a perfect place to bring the family to enjoy the race as well as a family farm park with slides and activities for kids, ice cream and cheese shops, and of course your first Fall taste of apple cider.  You’ll definitely want to bring the cowbell because the course runs through a barn!
