Last years World Championships in Valkenburg were a big weekend for the Belgians, with Wout van Aert, Sanne Cant and Eli Iserbyt all winning titles.
This season, the Dutch have dominated at the Elite level, with riders from the Netherlands winning 14 of the 18 Elite World Cups this season. Dutch women went eight for nine, with Marianne Vos winning four, Lucinda Brand three and Denise Betsema one.
For the Elite Men, Mathieu van der Poel won all six of the World Cups he started.
All of that is to say that the Dutch Elite team is favored to bring home some hardware from Denmark this weekend.
