Redline Bicycles is proud to announce the signing of Erica Zaveta (Brevard College) to Team Redline for cyclocross and mountain biking. She’ll be joining well-known cyclocrosser and MTBer Justin Lindine, and Redline Performance Marketing manager director Tim Rutledge said of the signing ”We are pleased to add such a talented athlete to our program.” Ms. Zaveta is the current Collegiate Division II National Cyclocross champion. Over the last few years Ms. Zaveta has raced at the World Cup level in North America and Europe on the mountain bike. In 2010, she was the National Collegiate Mountain bike champion.
This week, Zaveta is road racing on a women’s elite collegiate composite team with the top racers at the Nature Valley Stage race in Minnesota. Rutledge says, “What we see in Erica is a talented racer that just needs the right sort of support and product to take it to the next level. Erica, is at the top level on a mountain and road bike, and she excels in the brutal muddy cyclocross race conditions. We believe that with the mechanical and equipment support of Redline and our great co-sponsors, Erica will be with the best elite women of ’cross in North America.”
Zaveta added, “I am very grateful for the opportunity to race for Redline. I feel that with the guidance and support from Redline combined with my passion for road, mountain, and cyclocross racing will be the perfect combination for a very exciting season!”
