China’s first-ever UCI Cyclocross event, the 2013 “Qiansen Trophy” UCI C2 Cyclocross Event, proved not to be some small modest inaugural event. The event, hosted in Badalingzhen, Yanqing, Beijing, China, in the shadow of the Great Wall, has flown in, all expenses paid, at least 117 racers, staff and media to attend the history-making event.

In the women’s race, Denmark’s Margriet Helena Kloppenburg took the win, followed by Asa Maria Erlandsson from Sweden and Adela Carter from Great Britain. Read the full report here.

In the men’s race, Thijs Al took the win, with former U23 World Champion Arnaud Jouffroy taking second and the US’s Justin Lindine rounding out the podium in third. Read the full report here.
