GoPro Hero 3+ Camera
The company has made the GoPro Hero 3 camera smaller, lighter in the form of the Hero 3+, with WiFi that’s claimed to be four times faster, and yet the battery is said to last 30% longer. Weight weenies can rejoice knowing the camera won’t hinder their big air efforts as much as before.
Cyclocrossers keep making more handlebar, helmet and seatpost videos of cyclocross course previews, exploits and crashes and wide-angle broomstick timer-based photos, and the market for bike GoPro camera mounts is becoming big business. The new Hero 3+ will only make it easier to create even more of the awesome, and boring cyclocross POV videos.
The updated GoPro Hero 3+ comes in the same three editions as the GoPro Hero 3, with the White ($199), Silver ($299) and Black ($399) editions. The higher models add more megapixels, more video resolution, and the Black edition adds a WiFi remote.
The interface has improved over the years, as has the resolution. Go ahead, get your favorite cyclocrosser one, or ask for one for yourself. Everyone wants to be a hero, and they need a chance to document it.
