In or near Cincinnati, Ohio? Looking to brush up on those handling skills with some of the best in the business? Then check out these two clinics, offered on the eve of the UCI3 Festival happening October 8th – 10th.

Though technically a three-day festival of cyclocross, Cincinnati’s UCI3 Festival actually stretches to a fourth day with clinics preceding the actual racing. Clinics at two race locations will take place on Thursday, October 7, the day before racing gets underway. They will be led by some of the most experienced and knowledgeable talents in the sport: Katie and Mark Compton, four-time Danish National Champion Joachim Parbo and Cross Crusade star and international veteran Molly Cameron.

Buckingham Financial and Planet Bike are presenting the UCI3 Women’s Clinic. The Thursday evening clinic will be led by international superstar Katie Compton and her husband Mark Legg-Compton. The two well-known dog lovers both coach other amateur and pro athletes, and at least three of Katie Compton’s clients will be competing in Cincinnati. All proceeds from this clinic will benefit a trio of local Cincinnati dog shelters and rescues. The Katie Compton Women’s clinic is open to beginner and intermediate women and girls, with juniors receiving a fifteen dollar discount. In addition to being able to spend 90 minutes with the most accomplished cyclocross racer America has ever produced, attendees will learn how to improve their cyclocross techniques and evaluate a course.

Simultaneously, but at the other end of the greater Cincinnati metropolitan area, Joachim Parbo and Molly Cameron will be hosting an all-comers clinic at beautiful Devou Park, site of the next day’s UCI3 Festival opener. This two hour clinic will have a similar curriculum as Katie Compton’s clinic, but is open to both men and women and only minutes away from the race’s host hotel, the Radisson Cincinnati Riverfront in Covington, Kentucky. Juniors will receive a fifteen dollar discount for both clinics.

Both clinics start at 5:30 in the evening on Thursday, October 7.  Spots in the clinics are limited and additional information can be found on the UCI3 registration page powered byBikeReg.com.
