For 2015, the Qiansen Trophy Cyclocross, China’s UCI Cyclocross Race, is doubling down on its UCI points this year, offering one of a double C1 week that is rarely seen in places such as North America. This could be good news for top-level racers that were hoping on picking up some extra UCI points early in the season, and were disappointed by the cancellation of the second stage of the World Cup, which had been set to take place in Canada after the 2015 CrossVegas Cyclocross World Cup Race.

The race is now a little more than a month away. For high level, UCI contending cyclocrossers, the time to submit an application is coming to a close. Riders can find dates and the application process below, as well as travel and budget information here.

With deeper fields and more points up for grabs, the Qiansen Trophy Cyclocross races will likely stand to attract more athletes than ever. And who knows? Perhaps it might be a good year to preview the course before it becomes a potential destination for the World Cup.

August 30: Qiansen Trophy Cyclocross Yanqing Station, Yanqing District, Beijing
