This year, the Elite Women’s European Continental Championships featured a nip and tuck battle between Dutch racers Ceylin Alvarado and Annemarie Worst.

It didn’t take long before the two completely dropped the rest of the race and locked horns for the top spot on the podium.
While Worst was leading early on, Alvarado eventually took over and ended up taking the victory in yet another intense sprint finish.
Lucinda Brand came in third, recreating the iconic podium we saw at last year’s Cyclocross World Championships and once again a few weeks ago at Superprestige Ruddervoorde.
