Well, as you know, it’s that time of year: cyclocross roster announcements. We’ve been posting quite a few of these over the last few weeks, and the latest announcement comes from the California Giant Berry Farms/Specialized team.

The 2012/2013 California Giant Berry Farms/Specialized team boasts plenty of young talent, who will be competing in both domestic and select European World Cup races. The team’s goal is to have a strong showing at the World Cyclocross Championships to be held in Louisville, Kentucky.

This year the squad consists of Meredith Miller and under-23 riders Cody Kaiser, Yannick Eckmann and Tobin Ortenblad. The team will be managed by Jordi Andres Cortes. The athletes will be riding the Specialized S-Works Crux Carbon powered by SRAM, and Zipp 303 Cross wheelsets.

Joining the squad in California races will be Justin Robinson and Andy Jacques-Maynes, who are both two-time 30+ USA Cyclocross National Champions. Jacques-Maynes will be returning to cyclocross after several years out of the sport (focusing on his road career beyond an occasional Santa Cruz Surf City cyclocross race).

This is the 12th year that California Giant Berry Farms, one of the nation’s largest grower-shippers of fresh berries, has sponsored a cycling team.
