Wisconsin’s Caleb Swartz will be racing U23 cyclocross this season for a combination team/privateer program called Linear Sport/ Trek.
Wisconsin-based Linear Sport was Swartz’s team for the 2018 season, and he is bringing several sponsors aboard to help him pursue a mix of cyclocross and mountain bike racing this fall.
“I’m putting together this privateer program backed by Linear Sport because I found it to be a great way to gather up the support and resources I need to field myself for the season,” Swartz said. “The ability to put my other sponsors on the Linear kit allows me to better represent them and overall grow the support that I have. Going into my third year as a U23 I have set some high goals and with their backing, I hope to achieve them.”
A life-long off-road racer, Swartz is also a member of Marian University’s Varsity cycling program. Swartz won the Varsity Cyclocross race at Louisville Nationals, and his schedule this fall will include Collegiate XCO Nationals in California. He will also be racing the Iceman Cometh in Michigan in early November as part of his mixed off-road program.
A full schedule of his races is below.
Privateer sponsor’s of Swartz’s program include Violich Farms, Englewood Grass Farm, Challenge Tires, Mike’s Mix, and JM Coaching Group. Sponsors of the Linear Sport Racing program are Trek, Bontrager, Wheel & Sprocket, Styled Aesthetic, and David Hobbs Honda. Swartz will be riding a Trek Boone throughout the cyclocross season this fall.
