Last weekend at the Pan-American Championships, the Aspire Racing team of Ellen Noble, Jeremy Powers and Spencer Petrov switched from their team bikes to the yellow Focus Mares Force 1 model for the weekend of racing.

The switch to new bikes meant the team mechanics had to work overtime to get them ready to race. Cyclocross Magazine’s Brandon Grant ventured into the Aspire Racing team tent to chat with mechanic Brandon Davis—who has contributed to our Ask the Mechanic series—about the bikes and what it takes to get them ready to race.
