The famed December block of EuroCrossCamp has come and gone for a number of young U.S. cyclocross stars. The European racing was a return engagement for riders such as Gage Hecht (Alpha Bicycle - Groove Subaru), Cooper Willsey (Cannondale p/b Cyclocrossworld.com) and Lane Maher (Hot Tubes Devo) and a first-time experience for others.

This year's block of racing included last weekend's World Cup Namur, Waaslandcross on Saturday and Tuesday's World Cup Zolder.

Tuesday's race provided the young U.S. riders with one more chance to race against the world's best on Boxing Day. Gage Hecht (Alpha Bicycle - Groove Subaru) and Lane Maher (Hot Tubes Devo) led the way for the U.S. contingent in the U23 and Junior races, respectively.

As he does at each race, photographer Bart Hazen made sure to keep his lens focused on the U.S. riders throughout the day. His latest photo gallery provides a look at the American riders and a few of the top stars at the front of the two races, including British phenom Tom Pidcock, who beat Eli Iserbyt in a thrilling sprint.
