Cyclocross Magazine caught up with Amy Dombroski on Thursday as she was preparing for a scouting ride on the National Championship course, and the talented young rider informed us that she’s finalized her team plans for the upcoming season. This year’s National Championships will be the last race that Dombroski does in a Luna team kit; she’s creating her own off-road program for 2011, and planning to expand the team to add a few more women riders for subsequent seasons.

Crank Brothers will be the headline sponsor, and Dombroski says that we should expect a clean, styly kit in keeping with that company’s design sense. Also lending support will be Schlamm Clothing, Ridley Bikes and SRAM components. Cyclocross Magazine will also be lending its support to Dombroski’s program. UCI Delegate, owner of Schlamm and author of Cyclocross: Training and Technique, Simon Burney, will direct the team.

Dombroski will compete in some mountain bike races, but the focus will be squarely on cyclocross. Worlds in Louisville in 2013 is one of the primary goals, and the race calendar will include more European and World Cup events to get used to racing with the world’s best ’crossers.
